Juan Camilo Muriel

He is passionate about business and sports. He plays football and tennis several times a week, loves coffee, cars, world news and family time. Charismatic and easy going, he is the head of JCR Bogota and director of the commercial area in the firm. After finishing high school with a scholarship for academic excellence, he studied Business Administration in Los Andes University (Bogota) with a minor in Economics, and did an exchange programme in Macau - China.  He then continued studying Corporate Finance in UIBE (Beijing) and later on got an specialization degree in Finance and International Business at the EAN University (Colombia), prior to his venture in HARVARD University where he studied Sustainability Finance and Investments.


Besides his hometown, Juan has lived in the United States, London, Macau and Beijing. He has native fluency in English & Spanish, and works hard on his Chinese.

He is married with a Crimean Woman and they have a cat. He is vegan and likes to travel. He has been living in China since 2006 when he came to work as an intern in Procolombia in the Colombian Embassy and then was assistant of the Ambassador for 3 years. He studied International business in EAFIT University in Colombia and finished his degree in University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. He was one of the funders of JCR Consulting and speaks Spanish, English, Chinese and basic Russian.

Director of International Trade, has two professional titles, International Business Administration and Marketing;  Specialised in Management International Trade from Military University of Colombia, with extensive knowledge of practices and procedures in trade, logistics and operations. Certified Business English by the British Council. Her work experience began in the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting Colombian nationals in other countries. Currently, she is living in Beijing, where is learning Chinese and working in Beijing office with the logistics coordination and support for all projects in the company.
